FUNDRAISING
Every visit, course, and contribution helps us care for animals and inspire the next generation of life scientists.

The Reptile Academy is a social enterprise and not-for-profit organisation, which means every pound we raise is reinvested directly into the care of the animals who live here and into providing scholarships and subsidised programmes for the community. In many ways, our animal residents are our true shareholders.

The Academy is run almost entirely by dedicated unpaid volunteers, from the founders through to the reptile rangers. The only paid support we provide is for specialist 1:1 assistance for some of the most vulnerable young people in our programmes, where additional support and safeguarding are required.

As an organisation, we receive zero public funding to keep our doors open. All of our income is generated through the educational experiences and services we deliver, from the HAF programme and community workshops to specialist training placements and residential programmes.

If you would like to support our work and help us continue caring for our animals while creating life-changing opportunities for young people, there are several ways you can help below, as well as learning what it takes to run a place like this!
